I tried this smoothie in early June when a plague settled in at our house. Between the four of us, we were in varying degrees of sickness for weeks. I don’t know if it was the overnight change in the weather (Brisbane is either Summer or Winter!) but we all needed a serious dose of antioxidants. Blueberries & Cherries are antioxidant powerhouses, so I’m not kidding when I say that this smoothie made us feel better almost immediately! Even if it was a little boost, I’ll take it.
*Of course – this smoothie is not a miracle cure, but it is full of vitamins and antioxidants. It’s worth a shot if you are feeling under the weather.
1 cup of frozen blueberries
1 cup of frozen cherries
1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
1 cup of grape or cloudy apple juice
2 tbsp vanilla Greek yogurt (with active cultures)
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until combined.
